Robert Schneiders has presented on environmental topics as an invited plenary speaker at national and regional conferences, on television, at various professional forums, and within a university setting.

While at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, he taught a course titled “The Vietnam War.”  He received accolades from the students enrolled in the course.  In 2009, he taught “The Missouri River” at the University of South Dakota.  In 2000, he received the “Teacher of the Year Award” at Texas Tech University.

He was chosen for this award from 50 of Texas Tech’s Honors College faculty. At the University of Minnesota, he consistently ranked in the top tier in teacher evaluation scores among the approximately 60 History Department faculty instructors.
