Eco InTheKnow is currently working with the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, Sioux City, Iowa, to provide a series of thought-provoking and visually-appealing lecture presentations on the history of the Missouri River within the Sioux City area.  Topics to be addressed in the lecture series include the Missouri Valley’s pre-settlement environmental character, the lifeways of Native American peoples, the importance of river valley resources for European-American settlers, and the role of steamboats in the settlement and development of the Sioux City economy.  Educational workshops designed for a diverse audience are in the development stage.
